It's Florida!

Beyond the natural beauty and warmth of Florida's east shoreline, Northwood University's campus hosts many on-campus activities and it is a great place to have fun! We have fitness classes, a swimming pool, intramural  and recreational sports, and much more.

The Maureen L. & David H. Smith Student Recreation Complex plays host to some of our recreational facilities and amenities including:

  • Outdoor Basektball Court
  • Outdoor Racquetball Courts
  • Outdoor Tennis Courts
  • Outdoor Tiki Hut
  • Outdoor Sand Volleyball Court
  • Outdoor Swimming Pool

Our campus also boasts the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center (SLC), which is the newest building to campus hosting a variety of indoor facilities including:

SLC Fitness Center Hours of Operation during the school year

Friday: 10:00am - 10:00pm

Hours for the Gym and Fitness Center may vary during exam weeks, holidays and the summer months. Changes will be posted in the SLC.

General Intramural Team Sports Schedule:

Fall: Flag Football (men); Flag Footbal (women)
Winter: Dodgeball (co-ed)
Spring: Basketball (men; Basketball (women); Softball (co-ed)

Other recreational sports offered are Arena Football, Tennis, Sand Volleyball, Kickball, Indoor Soccer, and many more...
