Career Fair: Wednesday, March 19, 2008

Location: Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center
Time: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The Career Fair will be hosted on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, from 11:00 am-2:00 pm in the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center. Companies who wish to register for the Career Fair MUST have full-time jobs or internships available.

These events are exclusively for Northwood University students. They are well trained, highly motivated and eager to make an immediate contribution to your company. Major areas of study offered at Northwood University-Florida Campus include: Accounting, Advertising, Automotive Marketing, Automotive Aftermarket Management, Banking & Finance, Business Management, Entertainment, Sport & Promotion Management, Hotel, Restaurant & Resort Management, International Business and Marketing.

Northwood University-Florida Campus does not charge businesses for attending any career events on our campus.

Welcome to the Florida Career Services Office!

Career Services provides career planning assistance to Northwood University traditional and University College students, as well as alumni.  The Career Services Office is available to assist you with career exploration, confident and professional self-marketing, and developing successful job search techniques. Developing these skills now will benefit you throughout your professional career.  

Career Services follows a Career Development Plan and works in conjunction with faculty, the EXCEL office, and Alumni Services to provide comprehensive career planning and professional development opportunities.

Career Services offers the following programs and services:

  • Professional development workshops
  • Job listings via eRecruiting (Northwood's online job database)
  • Part-time Position Expo (September)
  • Career Fair (March) 
  • Interview preparation and mock interviews
  • On-campus recruiting and interviewing
  • On-site student tours of local businesses
  • Resume and cover letter assistance and critiques
  • Personal career counseling
  • Career planning tools
  • Panel Forums with local business leaders
  • Career library (Career Services Office and Cook Library)

  • Reference and informational books (Career Services Office and Cook Library)
  • Magazines: Job Choices, Hispanic News, and more
  • Videos and audiotapes
  • Professional journals
