International Students

Welcome to Northwood University!

Each year, hundreds of international students decide to attend Northwood University. Students from over 70 countries world-wide have come to Northwood University’s campuses in Florida, Michigan, and Texas. Northwood is proud of what we offer international students, and Northwood is enriched by the diversity and perspective you offer us.

Campus Community

International students are a vital part of the Northwood community, and Northwood strives to provide a relevant GLOBAL business education. Northwood University’s unique “2 + 2” undergraduate concept, plus the graduate study opportunities gives students a personal choice about how to prepare for a chosen career path.

Students who want to begin their college education at Northwood University have a choice of ending college studies after the associate's degree (the first two years) or to continue toward the bachelor's degree (the second two years). Students then have the opportunity to attend the DeVos Graduate School to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Personal Attention

Many students who have begun their college education at overseas institutions apply to Northwood University as a transfer student to earn a bachelor’s degree. If applying as a transfer student, your transcripts and records will be evaluated and a Degree Completion Program (DCP) or a copy of the applicable articulation plan will be prepared for you. The DCP outlines the courses you need to successfully earn a bachelor’s degree from Northwood. Northwood has established a number of formal articulation relationships with compatible educational institutions abroad and actively encourages transfer student enrollments.

The links on this page will provide information for both prospective and currently enrolled international students. Northwood University staff encourages you to ask questions should you need further information.
