Lynn Ferron

FerronLynnLynn Ferron
Bloomfield Hills, MI
(active emeritus trustee)

Lynn Ferron, a former elementary and preschool teacher, has demonstrated her strong interest in education from her first teaching encounter as a Head Start teacher’s aide in Texas to her work with Northwood. She and her husband, J, are members of the Board of Trustees. She has championed the cause of “educating the whole student” and their two sons Brady and Kevin were students at Northwood. Together J and Lynn chaired the first Detroit International Scholarship Showcase and continue to serve as advisors. Lynn also served as the Detroit Chapter Chair of the National Women’s Board & Friends. She and J are the current Co-chairs of The Friends of Northwood.

“The Northwood Idea encourages the entrepreneurial dream of raising one’s own level of prosperity through education and hard work. Self-reliance has made our country strong. These thoughts and ideas are the kind of lessons taught in Northwood’s classrooms and then passed on later in life through example.”
