Leadership 2.0
Shaping the Aftermarket Leaders of Tomorrow
What is Leadership 2.0?
Leadership 2.0 is the industry's cornerstone opportunity that fosters the development of a new generation of visionary aftermarket executives. The program is an intense and intellectually challenging two-week executive development program and learning experience deeply rooted in the theoretical and practical application of automotive aftermarket leadership principles.
The Leadership 2.0 experience consists of two, five-day sessions. Part One, held in the fall, is conducted at Northwood University's Midland, Mich., campus at the new Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies. Participants travel to Northwood University's West Palm Beach, Fla., campus in the spring for Part II. Between sessions, participants collaborate on projects that tackle aftermarket-specific leadership aspects. Teams present their projects during Part II, and the best team as judged by peers is invited to present their project at the annual Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS).
Led by Northwood faculty and senior aftermarket executives and leaders, the Leadership 2.0 experience includes a blend of industry research and market analysis, discussion and debate on aftermarket challenges and competitive strategies, individual communication skills training, negotiations and conflict management, insight into supply chain solutions and other industry topics.
Who is a good candidate for Leadership 2.0?
Leadership 2.0 is appropriate for any mid-level professional working in any market segment within the motor vehicle aftermarket. Previous attendees have represented manufacturing, retail operations, wholesale distributing, association management, program group management, and service dealer facilities.
Participants receive 6.0 credits toward completion of their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) certifications. The group project fulfills the "Project" requirements for the AAP certification. When is the next Leadership 2.0 Class?
