The University of the Aftermarket: Serving the Continuing Education Needs of Motor Vehicle Aftermarket Professionals.
The University of the Aftermarket's mission is to meet the management, business and leadership education and development needs of professionals working within the motor vehicle aftermarket. The University achieves this mission through the creation, promotion and management of industry-wide and custom educational programs culminating in a widely recognized and respected designation program.
Aftermarket professionals who successfully complete the respective requirements will be granted the Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) designation.
The University of the Aftermarket is an educational alliance of the Auto Care Association (formerly AAIA), Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) and Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA). Its mission is further strengthened by its affiliation with Northwood University, a private, accredited university that grants bachelor's and master's degrees in a variety of specialized managerial and entrepreneurial business disciplines.
The University of the Aftermarket is headquartered in the 25,000 sq-ft Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Studies located on Northwood University's campus in Midland, Mich. This state-of-the-art education center was funded through the generous support of the motor vehicle aftermarket.
