Refund Policy for the Adult Degree Programs
A course dropped prior to the start of the class will be refunded in full.
It is the student's responsibility to complete the Course Withdrawal Form online. Refunds are based on the date the form is received.
Courses are subject to the following refund policy:

|16 Week Course
last day to withdraw is Friday of the 11th week
|12 Week Course
last day to withdraw is Friday of the 10th week
|7 or 8 Week Course
last day to withdraw is Friday of the 6th week
|6 Week Course
last day to withdraw is Friday of the 5th week
|4 or 5 Week, Seminar/Weekend Course
last day to withdraw - end of the 2nd day in class
|Definition of a week: Seven days starting on the first scheduled meeting of a class.|
Collection Uncollected Funds/NSF Checks
A $35 service charge will be added for each check returned unpaid by the bank, each time it is returned. Each NSF check is re-deposited one time.
The following list is the current accepted methods of payment:
- Personal check drawn on U.S. funds only
- Online payments: credit cards and e-checks (Pay via My.northwood.edu)
- Traveler's checks and money orders
- Educational savings plan
- Third Party billing
- Financial Aid
Payment of tuition and fee charges can be made with cash, personal checks, bank drafts, money orders or credit cards. For those paying with a credit card the options have changed. A 2.5% fee will be charged for all credit card payments effective August 1, 2013. Payments can be made online with Mastercard, American Express, VISA, or Discover card, or with an e-check at the Business Office
Any student whose account has been written off to collection will not be allowed to register for classes until balance is paid.
