Automotive Marketing Certificate – Role Based Education

The Northwood University Automotive Marketing and Management certificate programs are designed to deliver role-based education for aspiring new and experienced automotive retail dealership employees.

Training Tracts

The Training Tract consists of four program modules and is designed for many of the dealership operational roles. Modules are delivered via the Internet over a 12 week session. The modules require learners to devote approximately one to three hours per week to successfully complete each module.

Content includes information pertaining to job role responsibilities and accountability requirements; departmental relationships to dealership success; procedural instructions for performing key departmental and job functions; goal and objective setting, and fundamental principles of management, marketing and selling.

Each module pertains to various roles within the dealership organization.

  • Parts Manager
  • Parts Inventory Clerk
  • Counterperson Retail
  • Counterperson
  • Wholesale

Module 2 - Service

  • Service Manager
  • Service Advisor
  • Warranty Administrator
  • Dispatcher

Module 3 - Sales

  • Sales Manager
  • New/Used Car Sales Manager
  • New/Used Salesperson
  • F and I Manager

Module 4 - Dealership Financial Analysis

  • General Manager
  • Controller/Office Manager
  • AR and AP Posting Clerks
  • New/Used Vehicle Posting Clerk

The tuition rate is $595.00 per module.  Enrollees receive 1.25 CEU credits per module upon successful completion.

You will be provided with a registration form, which when completed and returned with payment, will prompt your enrollment in our online orientation course and then the module(s) of your choice when the next term begins.
