University College (UC) academics are created with adult learners in mind. The UC offers several degree programs, flexible course delivery options, and many locations to make your experience educational and accommodating. A UC education honors your commitments to family, community, employers and employees. The courses you enroll in are taught by faculty who are business professionals. The coursework you take is delivered succinctly and cohesively.

Transfer Credits
  • Transfer a maximum of 144 quarter hour credits.
  • Students must complete a minimum of 36 quarter hours in order to receive a degree from Northwood University.
  • Request official transcript from applicable institutions and have them mailed to the Registrar as soon as possible to have credits evaluated.
  • Students who have received an associate's degree from a regionally accredited college or university will receive a credit evaluation that identifies equivalencies and electives acceptable for transfer.
  • Any courses completed after the associate’s degree was awarded will be transferable as long as a grade of "C" (2.0) or better has been earned and if applicable to the curriculum.
  • Students transferring without an associate’s degree will have their transcripts evaluated for equivalent Northwood credit. Students in this category will be permitted to transfer equivalent courses and electives with grades of "C" (2.0) or better.
Work Life Learning Portfolio: Earn College Credit

A person's Work Life Learning over the years may be translated into college-level learning. This learning can be evaluated in terms of required and/or elective courses for specific degree programs.

  • To apply for Work Life Learning credit, you should have significant work experience and a minimum of 3-5 years of related and documented management experience.
  • A maximum of 46 quarter hours of credit may be awarded.
  • Work Life Learning is evaluated much like that of coursework.
  • Evaluator awards credit where appropriate.
  • The student will receive a curriculum guide indicating exactly which courses must be completed for graduation.
  • A Work Life Learning Portfolio must be submitted within 120 days of beginning Northwood's coursework.

University College provides management education to adult learners throughout the world. Students have the option of completing courses at Program Centers located in nine states within the United States or completing courses online through the Online Degree Program.
