The Creativity Center was founded on the belief that creative thinking is the only real source of human progress and that civilization's progress can be speeded up only as creative people are encouraged to develop ideas that are aimed at improving the quality of life. To that end, the Creativity Center's mission is to encourage the creativity in individuals and to preserve the architectural philosophy of Alden B. Dow - a philosophy based on honesty, humility, and enthusiasm. The various programs at the Center, including the Fellowship Program, are outward expressions of that desire to create and grow.
