The Northwood story is a remarkable one. To commemorate our 50th anniversary, Dr. David Fry, president emeritus, and Dr. David Richards, assistant director of the Margaret Chase Smith Library, have compiled Northwood University’s fifty year journey. From one location in Alma, Michigan, to the opening of the Midland campus, and then Florida and Texas, from University College to DeVos, to all corners of the world, the publication chronicles the beginning–the Stauffer-Turner Years, 1959-1982; the growth–The Fry Legacy, 1982-2006; and the future, Northwood’s New Era: The Pretty Presidency.
